Mleko i aflatoksin / Milk and Aflatoxin

There is something need to be said...
Ana Kraš month ago in Dazed

Dazed Digital: What are the best things about LA and Serbia for you?
Ana Kras: What I loved the most were the thin tall palm trees and all the plants brought there and planted to make that dessert look like a Garden of Eden: Jasmin bushes, houses and hills with views and the lukewarm weather. I loved driving down the Baxter Street, it’s so steep, like a rollercoaster. The other thing I loved was eating pho at the pho cafe on sunset. My favourite things in Belgrade are my family, my friends and the fact I have some emotional attachment with every single street there. I also love that the average tomato there tastes better than any organic fancy one in America. Beautiful food there is available for everyone; it's not a luxury. I think Serbian milk and yogurt are the best in the world. (the rest of interview)

And who can't love Ana?

Choco for cooking

I  was making some choco cake last week and packaging of choko fil was so awful that I came up on idea to play with it - redesign it for my taste. The result is this pack with a little bit of artistic feel.

And than was born a crazy color version for chocolate with sparks.

Food Designing - Martí Guixé

This book documents Martí Guixé’s work around food design, taking stock of his research from the very first projects in 1995 to the last ones in 2010. Even food may be designed: Martí Guixé gives here countless examples by squaring potatoes, building molecular structures with olives and toothpicks, decorating cakes with a graphic representation of their content and even sponsoring food.

Tradition, communication and culture are blended in Martí Guixé’s projects and in their presentation in this book: the combination of curiosity, irony and precision of the Catalan designer blandishes the eyes and stimulates reflections about food and its context. Who has the ownership rights the food? Exactly when does the dish start to belong to the customer and no longer to the restaurant? Are there any right or ban on altering it, for example by adding condiments?

The book includes 3 sections: the first is exclusively dedicated to food pictures taken by Martí Guixé and Inga Knölke throughout the years the world over; the second includes texts by Beppe Finessi, Octavi Rofes, Inga Knölke and Jeffrey Swartz, with a special section of FAQ about food design; the third is the complete index of all food design projects by Martí Guixé, with photos by Inga Knölke.
